Pop star Jade, otherwise known as Jade Thirlwall, kicked off Pride Month in 2025 with a powerful message to J.K. Rowling that also served to all other transphobes and homophobes of the world.

Jade — who was introduced to many pop music fans as a member of the girl group Little Mix — had a performance at Mighty Hoopla Festival in South London that featured a special message not only to Rowling, but also to anyone else who has homophobic and/or transphobic beliefs, during her song "FUFN (F*ck U For Now)."

Jade called out several things for the audience to reply "f*ck you" to, including "performative allyship," "homophobes," and "transphobes." Still, it was the Harry Potter author who got the loudest reaction from the crowd.

As Jade shouted "J.K. Rowling," the audience gave its loudest "f*ck you" yet, with many attendees also throwing up their middle fingers. Jade is, obviously, far from being the only celebrity to call out Rowling — and her anti-trans views — in recent years.

In April, Rowling posted a picture of herself smoking a cigar and having a drink, captioned "I love it when a plan comes together," in reference to the U.K. Supreme Court's recent ruling that trans women aren't considered women under the country's Equality Act.

The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal, who has a transgender sister, then commented on an Instagram video made by activist and writer Tariq Ra'ouf denouncing Rowling's post.

"Awful disgusting s— is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior," Pascal commented.

Rowling's attacks on the LGBTQ+ community don't just stop at misgendering trans people. She's also asserted that trans kids don't exist, and has funded an organization that fights to remove trans people's rights "in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces." Recently, Rowling has even targeted the asexual community.
